This section is all about prophecies.
What God is saying to us as a Body, in part, or individually. Paul wrote that God
gave us this gift for “edification, and exhortation, and
Corinthians 14:3). That’s what these prophetic words are all about. That we may
understand the mysteries of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 13:2), tap into what He’s
saying now, receive the word by faith, and extend His Kingdom in the
These words may come through the staff here, or someone we
admire and look up to in the Body, like Kenneth
Paul wrote in 1 Timothy, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies [utterance] which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1:18). And in Ephesians “Wherefore take unto you… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (6:13, 17). The word “word” here is the Greek word rhēma. A rhēma is a “specific, quickened word from the Holy Spirit” to fight and defeat our adversary.
These utterances act as weapons. We are to take these so
serious they penetrate our heart (spirit) and souls, and force the Kingdom into
These are not to be taken lightly!
Right before the beginning of every year Day 41 ministries gives a foundational word of what God is desiring to do in the next twelve months. (This is specifically for those who follow this ministry.) We stand upon this prophetic word and force it into the earth. We do not compromise, nor do we look to the left or right (Proverbs 28:26). We stand on this word that His will may be done in the next twelve months. (For what God is wanting to do in 2018 please see Holy Ghost & Fire.)
Our Prayer is that you be blessed and encouraged with each
word. As stated earlier these are for “edification, and exhortation, and
comfort” (1 Corinthians 14:3). These
are generally not warning signs to believers (or even unbelievers); but
simply a desire of what God desires for your individual life.
Prophecy is twofold—"foretelling and forth-telling. Foretelling—Telling the future. Forth-telling—Causing the future” Kris Vallotton.
Note: contrary to what many think, a prophetic word is not to be a warning of judgement. They are to encourage us in our walk in the Lord. Day 41 Ministries only accepts prophecies of warnings and judgements from a fivefold ministry prophet (e.g. Jonathan Cahn).

Notice Paul said prophecies “go before thee”. Then here in Eph we see them used as a sword. Therefore, they act as both a javelin and a sword. The Roman soldier carried both to warfare.
Jesus said, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Mat 6:10). And again, “the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” (Mat 11:12). We see the will of God is perfectly done in heaven. However, in earth it is not so. (If it were then why did Jesus tell us to pray for it?). We see His will and His Kingdom are synonymous. Therefore, the only way His will can be done in the earth is through violence. We must force it by the power of the Spirit (Zec 4:6)!
Notice it reads, what God desires to do. Prophecies are not written in stone concerning individuals. When God said “it [His Word] shall not return unto me void… (Isa 55:11), He wasn’t saying it won’t be void in your life. Remember the Children of Israel? God spoke and said, they would enter the Promise Land, but they didn’t. It was the next generation that inherited the Land. The word was void in their life (Num 14:29-31).
His will is not automatic. Nor is God in control. This is a false teaching. If God’s in control explain sin, explain rape. I had a brother in Christ ask me once, “What if it’s God’s will for your daughter to be raped?” I said, “’Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven’ (Mat 6:10). No one in heaven is being raped”.
