2019 Will Be The Year of Fulfilling   Destiny, and Doing That Which Was Previously Impossible

2019 will be a year we go forward in the things of God to fulfil our destiny. That which has caused paralysis in our walk with God, is being healed. We are being unstuck[1] to "fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12).

And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other (Mark 3:1-5)

Kiros Moment to Fulfil Destiny

Look at this man with the withered hand. He goes to the synagogue like any other Sabbath. As far as he knows this is just another ordinary day. Wakes up, perhaps gets his wife and kids up for church; not thinking any more about it. But in the spirit something was happening, God was moving. There was a kiros[2] moment at hand.

Notice, this man didn’t go to the synagogue believing he was going to get healed. He didn’t initiate this moment. The Spirit did, and Jesus followed. Question, how can Jesus possibly expect this man to stretch forth his hand? I mean if he could do it, he’d already done it. But Jesus gave him a command for the impossible.

This isn’t the only account where we see Jesus commanding someone to do the impossible.

In Mark chapter two some people brought Jesus a paralyzed man who also has a kiros moment.

And again he entered into Capernaum[3], after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house[4]. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion (verses 1-5, 10-12).

In this account this man was paralyzed. It doesn’t tell us how or when this infirmity occurred. And Jesus wasn’t too concerned about it. He was concerned about their faith. When He saw their faith He simply said, "Arise, and take up thy bad, and go thy way".

Stretch Forth Thine Hand. Take Up Thy Bed and Go Thy Way

In both miracles Jesus expected them to do what was impossible before. Now, it’s interesting to know, in the Greek, the word "withered" is associated with being burned[5].

You ever been burned through life? Went through something that left you scarred and deformed? Ever been through something that left you paralyzed? Others can run towards their destiny just fine. But not you. You’re stuck. But we serve a God who heals paralysis of all kinds, not just physical. Jesus gave him a command that was impossible! “Arise. Take up thy bed, and go thy way”.

That’s your word for 2019—Arise and go thy way. Stretch forth thy hand!

Those of us who have been burned in life, and left scarred, from perhaps a childhood event, that thing is being healed now, and you will move forward in your destiny and call of God on your life.

Restored as Before

Now look at the man with the withered hand. The Word says it was made whole as the other. Jesus didn’t merely heal this man’s hand, he made it whole. It was completely restored!

The very issue that has held you back in your business is being healed right now. And not only healed but completely restored.

Whatever you couldn’t do before, you now can. If finances have always been a problem, it's being healed right now!

He’s healing and restoring to fulfil destiny. This is not merely for our benefit that we may use our hand again. He’s not healing and restoring finances simply, so we can pay bills. Or healing relationships so we can get along with everyone.  But that we may bring the Kingdom into the earth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

[2]Kiros—is a Greek word which simply means “season” or “opportunity”. In this sense, it speaks of a divine opportunity

[3]Capernaum was Jesus hometown. He’d moved here after He left Nazareth.
